My father and I have been best friends since the day I was born. We have always shared a similar sense of humor, a love for fun holiday traditions and cherish time spent with friends and family. My dad has a strong background in sales and marketing and it wasn’t until I was in my second year of college that I realized the marketing gene ran through my blood as well. When my dad decided to become a real estate agent, his close friends and our family knew this just made sense for him. As he hustled hard and developed his real estate career, he just couldn’t shake the idea of partnering with me, his daughter who shared the same passions in business and client relationships. For a few years, he began dropping hints and I heard him say a couple times: “Lauren, how cool would it be if we were a Father/Daughter real estate team? I know you better than anyone and I think you would love a career in real estate as much as I do.”
In 2018, I decided to pursue a career in the real estate industry by working for a property management company. I wasn’t sure yet if I wanted to sell real estate so I thought this would be a good way to get my feet wet. In order to become a property manager, you must get your real estate license. Once I started studying for the real estate exam, I realized my interests were beginning to align more and more with my dad’s day to day life as a real estate agent. After many conversations, my dad and I decided to make things official and become a real estate team working for Coldwell Banker in Fort Collins, CO.
Working with a real estate team means you get two experts for the price of one! One thing my dad and I take very seriously is communication and responsiveness. Since there are two of us, that means one of us will always be available to chat or answer any questions. We work weekends, weeknights, basically anytime our clients need us. If you're looking to buy or sell in Colorado, we'd be happy to meet over coffee or cocktails!
